Jaan-E-Mann was a triangular love story. Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar played the lead roles for this movie. Director Sirish Kunder gave feel good movie in his first attempt only.
Suhaan (Salman Khan) hides about his love marriage for his filmy career sake. But when he fails to have successful career, he returns to home and notices that his wife Piya left him. He finds Piya (Preity Zinta) address and sends many letters, but she never responds and suddenly she sends divorce papers. Piya asks him to pay 500 million rupees as alimony with divorces.
Suhaan asks his uncle Boney (Anupam Kher)’s suggestion. At the same time Agastya (Akshay Kumar) enters into the scene, who loved Piya in his college days. Boney and Suhaan plans to bring Piya and Agastya together to escape from alimony paying. They succeeds to in their attempt, but their the movie takes a interesting turn. Suhaan interests to be with Piya after watching their daughter Suhaani. At the same time Agastya also notices Piya’s interest towards Suhaan. Suhaan and Piya reunites at last.
This movie opened with weak openings, but with first day first show movie got a super hit talk and it was declared as a block buster. Due the tough competition from Shah Rukh Khan‘s Don- The Chase Begins and Diwali celebrations, movie failed utterly to receive good collections.
